On the Menu:

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Ladies that have taken on that role at any point and time in your lives.

Howdy y’all. I won’t be cooking this next week (for y’all 😉). David’s parents will be in town and we usually celebrate everyday they are here.

David’s Dad just turned 79, David’s Mom will be here post “Mother’s Day”, My sister in law just turned 45, Ruby made drum major for her upcoming Junior Year at The Walker Valley High School, AND the one who made me a Mama first, Luke Harris Anziano will be graduating from The Walker Valley High School next Thursday. So we have plenty of reasons to celebrate although we usually don’t need a reason.

I do miss my parents here on this earth though I try my hardest not to dwell on that especially on Holidays like Mothers Day. I try to stay focused on what they instilled in my sisters and I. The number one thing to them both, find a mate to whom you are equally yoked in the Lord. That ones straight out of the King James Bible. II Corinthians 6:14 “Be ye not unequally yoked with unbelievers: for what fellowship had righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” If they instilled one thing, find a guy that will be a leader of Christ in your home. I thank my Mother and Father in law for raising a son who would be just that for me.

They say “It takes A Village” to raise your children. There is so much truth there, but it starts with a good Mom and Dad.

There are so many Bible Verses and Hymns that are hidden in my heart that my parents taught me as a child, and they are brought to mind at the most appropriate times.

Psalm 119:11 “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”

Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Bearing those two verses in mind, this week for several days I awoke with this song on my mind and ended up singing it in my head all day. ““To God Be The Glory” by Fanny Crosby. It’s a good thing. Sometimes we know not why The Lord is speaking to us, but from this I gain…To God Be The Glory. “And we know all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

I look forward to cooking for y’all the week after next. 🥰
